Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and TechTrend, LLC ("we", "us"), which runs FirmAtlas™ at firmatlas.app (the "site"). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Not investment advice
The site is a research and education tool. Nothing on it is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing on it recommends buying or selling any security. We are not a broker-dealer or an investment adviser. You make your own decisions, and you are responsible for them. Before you act on any number, check it against the company's own filings, or talk to a qualified professional.
2. Data and accuracy
Most of the data comes from public SEC EDGAR filings. Prices are delayed, not real-time. Calculators, projections and scenario tools show what follows from the numbers you enter. They do not predict the future. We work hard to keep the data correct, but it can contain errors, gaps or delays, and we do not promise that it is complete, accurate or up to date.
3. Who can use the site
You must be at least 18 years old. You sign in with a Google account, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not share it. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it. We decide which parts of the site each account can open, and we may change that.
4. Acceptable use
Please do not:
- copy, scrape, download in bulk, resell or redistribute the site's content or data;
- use bots or automated tools to access the site, except normal search-engine indexing;
- try to get around access limits, or reach parts of the site or other users' data you are not allowed to see;
- interfere with the site, overload it, or probe it for security weaknesses;
- use the site for anything illegal.
5. Our content and your content
The site's design, software, text, research notes and the way we organize the data belong to TechTrend, LLC or our licensors. FirmAtlas™ is a trademark of TechTrend, LLC. You may use the site for your own personal research. Any commercial use needs our written permission first. Public filings themselves are not ours. Our claim is to how we collect, check and present them.
What you save on the site (watchlists, notes, analyses) stays yours. You allow us to store and show it to you so the site can work.
6. Changes and suspension
We may change, add or remove features at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the site or other users at risk. You can stop using the site at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
7. Paid plan
The site has a free plan and a paid plan, FirmAtlas Pro. The Pricing page shows what each plan includes and what Pro costs. Until Pro is open for sale, that page says "Coming soon" and nothing can be bought.
- Price. Pro costs US $9.99 a month or US $100 a year, plus any sales tax we must collect. You see the full price before you pay.
- Payment. Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number.
- Renewal. Pro renews at the end of each month or year, and charges the same card, until you cancel.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time on your Account page (Manage subscription), or by writing to [email protected]. Pro then runs to the end of the period you paid for, and your account goes back to the free plan. We do not refund part of a period, except where the law requires it.
- Failed payment. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries the card again for a while, and Pro stays on meanwhile. If it still fails, your account goes back to the free plan. What you saved stays.
- Price changes. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies. The new price starts at your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- What Pro includes. We may add, change or remove features (see section 6). If we remove a main Pro feature, you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of your current period.
8. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available". As far as the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
9. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, TechTrend, LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any investment losses or lost profits, that come from your use of the site or its data. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50.
10. Indemnity
If you break these terms or the law while using the site, and someone makes a claim against us because of it, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Illinois, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we do, we will change the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you on the site or by email before it applies. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.
13. Other
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we still keep the right to enforce it later. These terms, the Disclaimer and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the site.
