Privacy Policy
FirmAtlas™ (firmatlas.app) is run by TechTrend, LLC ("we", "us"). This page says what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it. We wrote it to match what the site actually does.
What we collect
- Your account. You sign in with Google. Google gives us your email address and an account ID. We do not get your Google password, contacts or files. We also store your access level and when your account was created.
- What you save. Watchlists, notes, analyses and saved screens you create. They belong to your account, and other users cannot see them.
- Sign-in sessions. When you sign in we store a random session ID, so the site knows it is you on the next page.
- Technical logs. Like most websites, our servers and our network provider record basic request data, such as IP address, browser type, the page asked for and the time. We use it to keep the site running and secure.
We do not sell your data. Some parts of the site run on outside services, such as Google for sign-in and our network provider for delivering pages. Those services may collect data under their own privacy policies.
Google user data
FirmAtlas uses Google sign-in only to know who you are. Here is exactly what happens to the data Google gives us:
- What we access. We ask Google only for the
openidandemailscopes. That gives us your email address and your Google account ID. We do not ask for, and cannot see, your name, photo, contacts, Gmail, Drive, Calendar or any other Google data. - How we use it. Your Google account ID identifies your FirmAtlas account each time you sign in. Your email address lets us recognize your account and reply when you contact us. We use it for nothing else: no advertising, no marketing lists, no profiling.
- How we store it. Both values are stored in our own database on our server in the United States, and in encrypted backups. They are not stored by any other service.
- How we share it. We do not sell, rent or share Google user data with anyone, and we do not transfer it to others, except where the law requires it. We do not use it to train AI models.
- How to delete it. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will delete your account, your Google account ID and your email address, and everything you saved, within 30 days. You can also remove FirmAtlas's access at any time from your Google Account, under Security → Third-party apps & services.
FirmAtlas's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Cookies and browser storage
We use only the cookies the site needs to work:
- a session cookie that keeps you signed in;
- a security cookie that protects forms against forged requests;
- a short sign-in cookie that lasts only while you log in with Google.
Your browser also stores a few settings on your own device, such as light or dark mode. They are not sent to us.
How we use it
- to sign you in and show you your own saved work;
- to decide which parts of the site your account can open;
- to contact you about your account or important changes, if needed;
- to keep the site secure and fix problems.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else handles it
A few service providers help us run the site. Each one sees only what it needs:
- Google: sign-in, and the web fonts the pages load.
- Cloudflare: carries traffic to our server, blocks attacks, and stores our encrypted backups.
- jsDelivr and Tailwind CDN: send page code (scripts and styles) to your browser. Like any web server, they see your IP address.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our users or the public. If TechTrend, LLC is sold or merged, your information may move to the new owner under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and saved work while your account exists. Sessions expire, and we delete expired sessions. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and your saved work. Copies in our encrypted backups are deleted as those backups are replaced over time.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under local law. We will honor them.
Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), cookies that page scripts cannot read, protection against forged requests, and encrypted backups. No system is perfectly safe, but we work to protect your information.
Age
The site is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you think a minor has signed up, tell us and we will delete the account.
Where your data is
We are in the United States, and we store and process data there.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you on the site or by email before it applies.
